Now I dont want you to assume its a husband vs my kids kind of thing..because I love them all SOOOOO much! However, Brad will technically always be first to me...its even hard to say that because I love my kids soo much, but let me elaborate...
Without Brad, my team mate, the man that I chose to be my partner in this life I could only be half the parent that I am..my heart goes out to single parents that have to learn to be the team..alone. And I am so fortunate and thankful that is not our situation. Now with this being said..if my relationship with Brad is not as strong as it can be our team wont be as strong as it can be and when we are working at our strongest together we can put our kids first. So heres my thinking...seperate..a husband and a wife have to put each other first, and the result of that is as a team putting your kids first. If that makes any sense? lol You also have to think, not only does the bible say this how it should be....but your going to be (hopefully) spending the rest of your life with your husband! Your kids are only with you for a short time and they move on to stat their own families...so to sustain a relationship for 60 years you've really got no choice, other than to put eachother first if you want to last that long!
A wife and husbands relationship is soo important...you two together are the foundation(other than God) to your family..and whats more important than to show your kids what a "good" foundation is!
